1. Basics of English (Day 1 - 20)

Grammar Fundamentals

  • Parts of Speech: Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs, Conjunctions, Prepositions
  • Basic Sentence Structure: Subject-Verb-Object (SVO)
  • Tenses: Present, Past, Future (Simple and Continuous)
  • Common Vocabulary: Everyday words and phrases
  • Articles: “a,” “an,” “the”
    Pronunciation and Phonetics
  • Introduction to phonetic sounds
  • Pronunciation of vowels and consonants
  • Word stress, sentence intonation

Basic Conversation

  • Introducing yourself and others
  • Basic greetings and questions (name, age, hobbies)
  • Asking and answering questions in simple present and past tense
  • Common phrases used in daily conversations

2. Everyday Conversations (Day 21 - 40)

Practical Dialogues

  • Asking for directions, giving and receiving information
  • Ordering food at a restaurant
  • Shopping and asking for prices
  • Making polite requests and responding
  • Talking about the weather, time, and schedules

Building Fluency

  • Discussing daily routines
  • Describing likes, dislikes, preferences
  • Talking about past experiences and future plans
  • Handling conversations on the phone (basic etiquette)
  • Listening exercises based on real-life conversations

Grammar Refinement

  • Present perfect vs. past simple
  • Use of prepositions (in, on, at, during, since, etc.)
  • Introduction to modal verbs: can, could, should, may, might

3. Intermediate Conversational Skills (Day 41 - 60)

Advanced Conversation Topics

  • Talking about hobbies, plans, and experiences in detail
  • Making and responding to invitations
  • Expressing opinions, agreeing, and disagreeing
  • Apologizing and explaining situations
  • Discussing hypothetical situations (using conditionals like "if")

Public Speaking and Presentation Skills

  • Introduction to public speaking
  • Delivering short speeches (self-introductions, describing a favorite activity, etc.)
  • Role-playing real-life situations (e.g., interviews, travel conversations)
  • Engaging in group discussions on simple topics

Fluency and Confidence Building

  • Using idioms and expressions in conversation
  • Handling impromptu speech tasks
  • Weekly speaking practice with feedback sessions
  • Pronunciation correction and advanced intonation
  • Mock interviews and real-life simulations (business meetings, professional interactions)

Advanced Grammar

  • Active and passive voice
  • Direct and indirect speech

This 60-day course focuses on building both grammar and speaking skills progressively. It ends with more practice-based learning to boost fluency, confidence, and the ability to engage in conversations across a variety of real-world contexts.

 

Eligibility Criteria for a 60-Day Spoken English Course

  1. Basic Understanding of English

    • Participants should have a basic knowledge of reading and writing in English (e.g., they should know the English alphabet and be able to form simple sentences).
  2. Age Group

    • Suitable for individuals aged 15 and above. There is no upper age limit.
  3. Education Level

    • Minimum education requirement: Completion of primary or middle school (class 8 or equivalent).
    • For higher-level courses, participants might need to have completed high school or equivalent.
  4. Motivation to Learn

    • Participants should be willing to actively engage in the learning process, including conversations, role-plays, and group discussions.
  5. Availability

    • The course requires daily participation for 1-2 hours over the 60-day period.
